Brazil’s Accession to the OECD: Regulatory Challenges in Finance, Taxation, Environment, Digital, Trade, and Agriculture
This project aims to identify challenges related to Brazil’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in priority areas, mapping Brazilian regulations and practices that may present potential incompatibilities with the OECD’s regulatory framework. Several strategic topics will be selected: international trade (goods, agriculture, and services), finance (capital and intangible liberalization), e-commerce, environment, and taxation (transfer pricing and anti-corruption practices).
These topics may lead to discussions in the ongoing negotiations within Brazil’s OECD accession process, involving the Brazilian delegation and other member countries in the respective committees.
