Public Distrust, Distribution, and Resilience: Assessing the Causal Effects of Disasters in Brazil
This project brings together a series of interconnected studies that investigate the occurrence, frequency, and distribution of natural disasters in Brazil, as well as their impacts on the labor market, agriculture, and business activity. The research examines, in particular, how workers respond to these events in terms of migration, occupational transitions, and wage variations, considering the role of individual skills. It also analyzes the responses of the population in Amazonas to natural disasters, focusing on agricultural activity and deforestation.
