Tropical Agriculture: Science, Challenges and Opportunities
Tropical agriculture accounts for more than half of global food production, yet it remains poorly understood in international debates. That is why we need to discuss what sets production in tropical climates apart from temperate agriculture; the challenges related to climate variability and agricultural management, as well as the opportunities for spreading sustainable practices and climate finance tailored to local realities.
The purpose of the meeting is to explore how we can turn tropical leadership into global impact, highlighting its unique characteristics and opportunities for innovation and climate leadership.
The event will feature the participation of Talita Pinto, Coordinator of FGV Bioeconomia.
