Brazilian GHG Protocol Program
The Brazilian GHG Protocol Program was created in 2008 and is responsible for adapting the GHG Protocol method to the Brazilian context and developing calculation tools for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.It was developed by FGVces and WRI, in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment, the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD) and 27 Founding Companies.
OBJECTIVE
Stimulate the corporate culture of GHG emissions inventory in Brazil for an agenda to tackle climate change in organizations;
Provide instruments and international quality standards for accounting for emissions and publication of inventories;
