The event will address the landscape of open pension funds in Brazil, highlighting their role in the financial system and their capacity for long-term capital allocation. It will also include a presentation on the allocation of resources from open pension funds in Brazil and an analysis of their alignment with climate change mitigation efforts, key sectoral exposures, climate risk assessment (transition and physical) in sectoral allocations, and compatibility with the Paris Agreement/Net Zero targets.
Additionally, the discussion will cover the challenges that hinder increasing the allocation of pension fund resources to climate projects, as well as regulatory, public policy, and business recommendations to expand investments in climate-related initiatives.
