About the event

This event brings together diverse perspectives around a shared vision of resilience, justice, and cultural continuity. At its core are four interconnected themes that guide the conversation and collective experience:

  • Climate justice and inclusive decision-making, ensuring the full participation and leadership of Indigenous peoples in shaping pathways for climate and development.
  • Intergenerational transmission of ancestral knowledge as the foundation for cultural resilience and adaptive governance.
  • South-South and transcontinental cooperation, connecting voices and experiences from the Amazon, the Pacific, and Africa in a spirit of solidarity and shared purpose.
  • Arts and heritage as instruments of climate diplomacy, fostering empathy, dialogue, and systemic change through creative and cultural expression.

Together, these themes set the tone for the session, celebrating the land and its guardians, bridging generations and continents, and reimagining our shared future through culture and justice.

The event features the participation of Mariana Nicolletti, researcher at the Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces).
