Business Initiative for Local Development and Large Enterprises (ID Local)

Thematic axes
6 - Unleashing Enablers and Accelerators including on Financing, Technology and Capacity Building

The Business Initiative for Local Development and Large-Scale Projects (ID Local) aims to bring the business sector together for reflection, exchange of experiences, and the development of corporate proposals and guidelines for local development in the context of large-scale projects, through dialogue, research, and the co-creation of proposals, methodologies, and tools for local management.

The overall objective of ID Local is to integrate the theme of local development into the business strategy of companies responsible for investments in more vulnerable areas, mapping dilemmas and challenges, sharing experiences and practices, and developing guidelines and tools for local development in the context of major projects.

Since its creation in 2013, the initiative’s contributions have spanned various themes, including the full protection of children and adolescents in the context of large-scale projects; innovation in local development; impact monitoring and evaluation tools; strategies for strengthening institutional capacities; and guidelines for territorial private social investment.
